The 8pin M12 X-coded connector conforms to the IEC61076-2-109 standard，compared with the 100M transmission speed of the 4pin D-coded M12 connector, the M12 X-coded connector is more suitable for high-speed Ethernet transmission, and the data transmission speed can reach up to 10Gbps. When applied to industrial Ethernet, the ethernet cable also needs to support Gigabit and 10 Gigabit data transmission, and needs to work with CAT 5E, CAT 6, CAT 6A or CAT 7 network cables, and the data transmission capacity has reached the ISO11801 Channel Class Ea standard.
Why the M12 X coded connector have different pinout with M12 A coded connector ?
As we know , different coding type for M12 connectors is to avoid wrong pluging , the different code M12 connectors are used for different application , may have different voltage and current , if they are the same,while there are multiple M12 connectors at the work place , it may cause mis-insertion while the staff is not careful , which may cause the system to fail to work properly, or cause equipment damage and unnecessary losses.
